Why is that all the questions about Wicca show up in mythology?
R M - recognized as a religion by the U.S. Government, and its followers, of course. All religions today are based on some sort of mythology. In Wicca, we believe in Gods & Goddesses from various pantheons that we learn about in mythology. Some of the ritual aspects of Wicca and its different traditions (Sabbat customs & practices, etc.), as well as the magical practices of witchcraft, are folklore.Definition of Folklore: 1. the traditional beliefs, legends, customs, etc., of a people; lore of a people. 2. the study of such lore. So really, such religious/spiritual questions are appropriate in both M&F and R&S - as applies to anyone who practices any religion today, their beliefs are mythology and/or folklore that has been passed down through time from those who were here before us.As it seems the M&F section draws less of the "you're going to burn in hell for all eternity" responses to questions on Wicca, perhaps some just feel better posting their questions there.
