What you and most Christians don't understand is that you do NOT have the final authority on what is truth. Your version of reality is only your version. It is NOT an absolute proven fact!I don't care if your holy book says only believers and followers in your version of God are going to Heaven and everyone else is going to Hell. There are other holy books in other religions that have different stories and different expectations. People in other belief systems often believe in reincarnation, but any evidence they give of reincarnation, you Christians always say are lies created by your Devil. Any evidence people give of ghosts, spirit guides or any non-demonic spirit, you always say are actually demons. Whenever someone beileves in a different belief system that conflicts with your own, you say they are being misguided by your Devil. Most of us pagans don't even believe in your Devil. Those who do, either see him as a relatively weak being or as one that's beneficient and misunderstood.I don't care if you claim miracles that are supposed to testify to the validity of your religion. Miracles happen every day to people of all religions. When witches work magic for the benefit of themselves and others, this is a form of miracle too. A miracle is defined as a gift of God. This definition does not imply that your version of God is the only one that's true. A miracle can be a gift from any deity.The problem we keep having with Christians and pagans having conflict comes from the different ways we view spiritual reality. Christians (and Jews and Muslems) think there is only one God and any other being that presents itself as a deity must therefore be a demon. Pagans realize that Deity is multifacited, that there are multiple gods, goddesses and even hermaphroditic deities. Our version of spiritual reality includes the posibility that Christians (or Jews or Muslems) can find spiritual enlightenment within their belief systems, because they are on a spiritual path that is right for them. But your version of spiritual reality does not see that non-Christian can find spiritual enlightenment in non-Christian belief systems, because they're on a path that is right for them.I am an eclectic pagan and believe that all images of Deity have truth in them. I do not worship Satan, but I do beileve he exists. I believe that when people believe in Satan and believe he has power, they actually give him that power. I believe that Christians are actually the biggest empowerers of the being they call Satan by way of their belief in his power. While pagans generally worship and help empower dieties who can bring blessings to humanity and to our Earth, Christians seem to need to create a constant battle between their God (viewed as representing all things "good") and an evil deity they call the Devil (viewed as representing all things "evil"). They thus create an evil being on which they can dump the responsibility for everything they don't like in the world. I guess this is easier than accepting that nature and humans are sometimes unfriendly to people, but that doesn't make them "evil". Conflict is a means for us to learn about ourselves and others. Adversity is a means for us to learn about ourselves and others. Diversity is a means for us to learn about ourselves and others. Just because you don't like something, that doesn't mean it's "evil" or from the Devil.- P.

LaVeyan Satanists view their selves as a god, they don't actually worship Satan. There aren't that many Theistic Satanists out there. And, most of the time witches and people that are involved with sorcery and voodoo don't worship Satan. It's not even "dark" as you put it. It's usually associated with nature. Most of those deities are figures from nature, too. You should learn not to generalize people, or at least categorize them correctly.

Perhaps I should answer with my own question.Why do many Christians insist on shoehorning the world into the worldview provided by their book?Because that is what you are doing.Firstly, you seriously need to do some actual factual research into the topics into which you are sticking your nose. Put the Bible down, and do some real research. Read the good, the bad, the ugly and find some people whom actually work within the paradigms you've named and get to know them, you mostly will be pleasently surprised.And, you'll also be amazed that hardly any actually worship Satan at all, whom is a construct of your belief system. Hel, even Satanists for the most part don't worship Satan. Yes, you definitely need to get out more.

ok first of all Wiccans do not even acknowledge the Existance of Satan/the Devil. Secondly, Satan/The Devil is a MAN MADE being. Concockted by Christians Way back before it became a Major Religion. They Created Satan/The Devil after seeing a Pagan/Wiccan Picture of The Great Horned God (that is his name) and thusly dubed him as Satan/The Devil. Thirdly (and this is a little off the topic) The Virgin Mary, Was Stolen from the Pagans, It was Originaly a Statue of The Mother Goddess, that was Draped in Robes, and Became the Virgin Mary. i think that some worship satan but most of the forms of religons you listed don't recognize the existance of satan. the few that worship satan do so (from what ive learned) because he knows rejection and pain which is something familiar to them. where as "god" knows nothing but power and they think of him as unfeeling. like he doesnt give two shits about us. but the devil takes the time to try to get you on his side, inferring that he wants you mkore than"god" does
