If you must focus on one religious tradition to the detriment of others I suggest you visit Witch Vox at www.witchvox.comhowever I would suggest you dont abandon whatever religious tradition you were raised in unless its an extreme fundamentalist form of your faith if you have one!You dont study wiccan ...a wiccan is a person who follow and practises Wicca!Whatever you do choose carefully and thoughtfully?

Get yourself a copy of "Wicca, A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham. It's the best introduction for a beginner available, and will cover all the basics, it also has an excellent bibliography for further study. Another good one is "The Witches Bible Compleat" by Janet and Stewart Farrar. They can be found on line or in the New Age section of any good book store, I'd recommend you stay away from web sites and anyone who asks for money until you've read at least those two, so you can at least be able to ask the right questions. Good luck, and Blessed be.

pagan/wiccan and witchcraft are two different things. Pagan/wiccan is a religion and witchcraft is mostly just someone that practices magic or so forth. You could probably find someone in you area that knows about it or that follows it. If you have facebook or something like that maybe just search around and ask questions. Or you could get a book that tells you what you need to know. I've got one by Scott Cunningham called "Wicca: a guide for the solitary practitioner" (this being if you are planning on doing it by yourself...but either way it is still good to read). Also there are alot of books by silver ravenwolf...which i think is pretty easy to understand. There is lots for people new to it. Depending on where you live these books can be found in stores(Chapters carries alot of these kinds of books). Just make sure you look through them first cause some are very confusing! But it is pretty easy to find someone to talk about it with you...like i said just keep looking around and asking around

You have to read everything you get your hands one. Study, if you're motivated, write a ten page report on various topics (keep them, they will be useful)Try this for startersWitchvox.com

I notice that there are alot of witchvox fans here and while i too like that site you could also try paganspace.net it's an awesome place to meet other pagan/wiccan/etc... who can help you with your questions. i have an account there and i've learned alot from these people. And it's people messaging back and forth as well as discussion boards and lots of good stuff. so yeah....

Seek and ye shall find
I won't recommend any specific sources, since I find that to be a bit like telling you to go down only one path...visit a bookstore and check out the occult or new age sections, and of course look on the web (visit some Pagan forums too). There are plenty of places to find the info you want.
