You could also maybe do a ouija board or something. Or tarot cards (if you know how to).

unless you know someone who knows what they are doing, i wouldn't suggest a oujia board. bad things can come through those. and i know from personal experiance.

I agree with Vamprous. It's not a good idea to use oujia board. A good game to play is called as stiff as a board, as light as a feather. Cards for the future are good too. You may also do a ritual that allows the spirits of our past to speak to you. To do that though you should offer them some thing for each compass watch tower. A group meditation is always cool and doing energy works.
Best thing is to set every thing up in order in the best possible way.
