That's just it, I don't think we need a Head Figure, we need several head figures to discuss and figure out the best way to support the Community, and have another group of people (the same people maybe?) to act as the Public Relations for the Community, to stand as the "image" of the Community, but I don't know, what's yall's opinions? This is a very loose idea, not even close to what I'd like to post, so we'll go from here. If yall want, we can start a new thread so as not to get this one off topic. Let me know and I'll start one and post the link.

i think there should be another thread... there cannot be one head... it is too much like a dictator ship. And Sebastiaan from what i have heard.. all the way in AUSTRALIA is careless. He openly gave a pass to poeple who were curious about vampires a way to see into the community through a documentary... i watched this film last night and was appaled at how wrongly portraited our kind were!
It shows us as people who are doing it just for kicks, to get shits and giggles and reactions from people... it does not go into the real reason we are vampires... BECAUSE IT IS OUR LIFESTYLE, just like a lifestyle of peace and tranquility are that of a buddhist...
This false viewing of our community can only perpetuate poeple not understanding what and who we are!
i agree with tobias completely when it comes to a "round circle" (excuse the term i thought it was funny) of vampyre representatives! Also i think classing the two strands of vampirism, Sang and Psi by having two seperate heads of power or two ocuncils of power is wrong... perhaps its time to combine the two as we are all vampires and despite our feeding differences.. it is crucial for the two to become one (not sharing the same feeding patterns but being in a council together)

but because the community is soo young and has only been around for a short time it is crucial that poeple understand and accept us and this cannot happen if from the beggining vampires are bopth given seperate instructions from two groups of power... is this all making sense?
or am i rambling on?
prhaps a new thread is needed?

Aye, you should look in the Media section for the thread I posted with links to the documentary called The Secret Lives of Vampires, on A&E. It is much more detailed about our Community and what it REALLY means to be a vampire. As for combining the two sections of the community, sang and psi, I agree, we need at least two separate entities, though, because in the end our two feeding types are different and thus we will have separate issues, but we need to come together as a community, and thus we should have two groups, and maybe a third for hybrids who feed equally from both sang and psi. But aye, I also agree that the Community is very young and needs to come together more before we are ready for such a thing.
So lets make a new thread, I'll entitle it "Vampire 'Government'? Idea, or actuality??"

Here are my two cents...
Recently I interviewed Sebastian for my order the Order of the Nephilim's newsletter. Trust me he never claimed nor claims to be any big leader of the vampire community, he is quiet humble and opinionated at the same time. He is only concerned about the Ordo Strigoi Vii and the mysteries contained within. The SV are neither psychic vampires nor sanguinarians, they are actually "living vampires" and practice a form of vampiric chaos magick, necromany, sorcery and witchcraft. He shares his opinions in the various books he has written known as the Sanguinomicon.
You can find Sanguinomicon at Lulu.com.
The film actually brings for the only real vampire 24 hour in person subculture in the world, which is NYC, of which I have visited several times. It shows a variety of individuals and movements in the community, not just Father Todd's work, but Belanger and Don Henrie.
Unfortunately so many online vampers (who rarely live off their computer screens) judge the vampire culture which takes place in nightclubs and underground clubs of NYC because people dress up and enjoy the glamour of the vampire imagery. The people in NYC seem to live it, breathe it and mix fashion, performance art and spirituality. Plus the NYC scene was and is still the oldest active vamp culture in the world, predating the "online vampire community."
Watch it for yourself, the film releases in January.

Nothing more then a poser... From my understand their is no head vampire or such figure... every vampire answers to no one but their inner self.

I would like to point out my personal opinion on Father Sebastiaan Tod. For one I have known him since 2003 when he lived in Amsterdam.
He never plagiarized anyones writings (he paid and gave credit to everyone he published). He even took all the books which might be questionable from sale as to not cause conflicts.
Now his new editions of his books entitled "Sanguinomicon" are being published by Rakasha Books in Holland. Feel free to take a look for yourself and make your own opinions. For one I read the new editions and agreed to take up co-moderating the new Strigoi Vii / Sanguinarium message boards which go live in March 2009.
Eternally,
Mael

Oh and one more thing, his conflict was personal with Belanger (who chose to make it public in 2005) and members of House Kheperu didn't even know what was going on until AFTER it was done. Many actually participate on my forums and still help Sebastiaan coordinate the Endless Night Festival in New Orleans.
Plus I can say I am certainly not brainwashed and I am a lawyer.
