Hi - new to this forum and this world! I am currently studying vampire novels for an investigation and need to compare 4 novels through time - I am stuck on finding something from 1950 and would love some advice or help. I have a 1850, 1900 and 2000 novel but need something between.

English novelist and short story writer EF Benson wrote several shorter pieces that alluded to vampires. Not sure of the dates, but they were certainly after the turn of the century, perhaps between the wars? I can't think of anything other than that from that period.

Slightly off-topic, I thoroughly recommend Benson's short story collections.

I read it 30+ years ago in my teens, and I seem to remember it was a good read. It's a classic sci-fi novel, and a fine example of sci-fi horror crossover.
