The next TWILIGHT (II) will be held on March 7-9, 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia, hosted by the Atlanta Vampire Alliance (House AVA) - http://www.atlantavampirealliance.com and the Atlanta Vampire & Non-Conformists Meetup Group - http://vampires.meetup.com/96/. This event will run for the entire weekend and feature presentations from a variety of community members including but not limited to Michelle Belanger, the Atlanta Vampire Alliance, and a variety of other local and national groups, discussion panels that will engage all attendees, and nightly entertainment. Information concerning hotel and lodging accommodations, driving directions or airport info, discussion format, presenters, entertainment, and complete literary will be provided exclusively to those who are able to attend the event (please RSVP for this event after joining the meetup.com group). This is an event you do not want to miss if you are seriously invested into the community and appreciative of in-depth discussions on vampirism, energy work, community affairs, and other related topics.

Please direct this information to those living in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, North & South Carolina, Tennessee, other neighboring states, and all individuals who may be able to arrange transportation to attend this event.

TWILIGHT is a formal gathering of individuals involved in vampirism (practical and academic) coordinated by Merticus of the Atlanta Vampire Alliance (House AVA) and Suscitatio Enteprises, LLC, and Daemonox of the Vampirism Community eList and The Wretched eList (California Vampires). The goal is to bring together the community's serious and sane for discussion, knowledge exchange, networking, and social engagement. The first TWILIGHT (I) was hosted by Daemonox of the Vampirism eList, Wretched, and the Los Angeles Vampire Meetup Group - http://vampires.meetup.com/40/; and was held in Los Angeles, CA on October 30, 2007. It was a huge success with over 50 vampires in attendance; representative of some of the most notable, dedicated, and active members of our community. Some came as far away as South Carolina, Ohio, Georgia, Northern California, etc. to attend this gathering. The evening began with a formal banquet style dinner where we were seated at two long tables adorned in red and black. After dinner and networking everyone gathered upstairs for presentations and discussions that would last well into the early morning hours. After these multimedia (PowerPoint) and question/answer presentations concluded everyone was divided into small groups of approx. 5-8 persons to discuss a variety of topics; first in the small groups and then between the entire group in an open and civil debate format. A basic overview of the topics included were:

1.) Evolution Of The Vampire Community
2.) The Community & Publicity
3.) The Otherkin Community
4.) Vampires; Hierarchies & Elders
5.) Vampirism; Lifestyle, Religion, Counterculture, Or Something Else?
6.) Dealing With The Media



The venue where we were gathered unfortunately closed at 2 AM and there was still approximately 30 persons discussing and debating amongst themselves. Rather than everyone disbanding for the evening some of us relocated to the parking lot where we talked for about another hour before finally turning in for the evening; after all this was a weekday.

It was truly a remarkable event to be able to gather with so many diverse and at the same time well-versed individuals within our community for serious intellectual discussions and spirited exchange. We hope to continue this tradition in Atlanta, GA this March and look forward to seeing new faces and meeting with old friends!

We have a couple important announcements to make regarding the TWILIGHT II gathering (March 7-9, 2008 in Atlanta, GA) and the Vampirism & Energy Work Research Study (VEWRS & AVEWRS).

The venue along with hotel accommodation information for TWILIGHT II will be announced via e-mail in approximately 48 hours ONLY to those who have RSVP'ed "Yes" through the TWILIGHT meetup.com group. The location of this event will not be posted publicly to protect the privacy of the attendees and intimacy of this event. Presentations, workshops, and discussions will occur on Friday and Saturday throughout the day and evening. On Sunday there will be an off-site gathering and related entertainment. If you are able to arrange transportation to attend this important event (even if only for a couple days) or know someone who is, please visit the following site and complete the requested questions, await an approval confirmation, log into the TWILIGHT meetup.com group, and RSVP "Yes" for the March event.

We're offering an exciting line-up of speakers including Michelle Belanger of House Kheperu and author of The Psychic Vampire Codex, Merticus & Zero of Suscitatio Enterprises, LLC and the Atlanta Vampire Alliance (House AVA), Lord Alistair of House DarkHaven, SethNunMin of House AVA & Shaman Nation, Peristera & Heosphoros of Liberi Sanguinis Luciferi, and several others! Additionally, everyone who attends this event may take part in the group discussion panels!

We are seeking up to two (2) additional speakers to present material related to vampirism or the vampi(y)re community. These presentations may run for 45-60 min + Q&A and can feature audio/visual components (powerpoints, videos, slide presentations, etc.)

If interested, submit a proposal that includes your background, outline of material you'd like to discuss, and contact information to twilight@suscitatio.com. Please try to do so within the next 72 to 96 hours where we can finalize our schedule. You may also sign into the meetup.com group and offer suggestions for discussion panels to be held in the evenings. The finalized schedule will be posted online via the group only.

Suscitatio Enterprises, LLC will be releasing a new round of statistical analysis for the VEWRS & AVEWRS research surveys at TWILIGHT II along with the first look at the database we've been compiling with the help of others for the Vampire Community History Project - http://www.suscitatio.com/projects/v...ryproject.html. Discussion on both these projects are now featured on a new forum that we encourage everyone to join in order to stay updated and in the loop on the progress of our analysis. We would especially like those to join who took part in the surveys, have an interest in our research, or would like to contribute to in-depth discussions of vampirism, energy work/psionics, and other related topics. We have received 672 VEWRS (Part 1) surveys and 344 AVEWRS (Part 2) surveys which equates to over 462,000 individually answered questions!
