So... I'm getting my first tat today.
(Technically it's my second. I was unconscious for the first and have since had it removed. So that doesn't count. Honestly who wants a poorly inked rose on the side of their breast? Not me.)

Anywho...

I'm getting Shiloh on my right wrist and Cathrine on my left.
Shiloh Cathrine is the daughter that I miscarried this past February.
I have a SEVERE phobia of needles but this means a lot to me. So, I'm going to suck it up for my baby. (I hope)

Underneath the name I'm getting a barbed-wire-lifeline.
I had Jazzi Star draw up a sketch for me of it. She drew it on my wrist today in permanent marker. (check my pictures in a bit for the pic of it)

The guy who's doing my ink is the same guy who did D.I.T.F. Ninja's. He does great work and is the most well known tattoo artist in the area. (Ye Old Skull) We're gonna tweak it and get it perfect.
I might post a video of me spazzing through the whole thing on Youtube. Who knows. lol

Depending on how much I freak... I may or may not be getting my vampire ankh down the center of my chest.

If I bail feel free to smack me upside the head. lol I'll be doing it myself.

It actually wasn't that bad. At one point I ended up leaning on my arm and watching the needle go into my skin. I freaked the guy doing my tattoo out. lol!
Everyone there (12 people) was really proud of me. I spent the 45 minutes I had to wait for another person to get done. Talking about how scared I was. It wasn't helping that a few of the guys (totally covered in tats) said that I was brave. They couldn't get one on their wrists because they were to chicken and I did lol
All I did was groan and grit my teeth when he was doing some parts of the outline.
I might be going back in on the 28th. lol They are SO addicting.

The guy who was doing my tattoo (it ended up being Big Mike) said he was afraid of needles too. He said to just look at it as a metal paint brush. It actually helped me. This guy was the biggest in the shop. He can't give blood or anything because he can't stand medical needles. lol
All it is, is just a little bit sore. Kinda like a bruise. And it stings a little when I put the lotion on it. It's really not that bad.

All these big men afraid of needles lol. I'm not exactly afraid of needles, I don't have a problem with injections and what not, but I'm not sure if I'd get a tattoo I want one but I've got no idea what to get and where to put it lol. Well its more that I can't decide

A lot of people think it's best to get your first one on your back. That way you don't have to watch.
lol Just look for something that means alot to you.
Shiloh Cathrine, my daughter, well she's kind of self explanitory. And the barbed wire life line is somthing a few of my friends and I were going to get together.
I have so many sketches and drawings I didn't decide until the day before what one I was going to go with first.

LOL I actually know what I want and where I want it, its the design and the fact it would take ages, and take up most of my back lol. It would also be really conspicuous Personally I would love a dragon and a phoenix on my back, but like I said, I could never design something like that, and if someone else was nice enough to design one for me, I'd probably find a fault with it lol. And it would be pretty big, take a lot of time, and cost a lot of money

The best advice I can give is to look around at some artists portfolios. Find someone you really like and feel comfortable with. Do it in several settings.
That would be an awesome tattoo though
