RE: Momento Mori
Nawww thanks!
I am planning to publish it, and I've got three more chapters prepared after this one, but I've hit a bit of a bump in writing cos of some stuff that's happened so I don't know when it will be finished, or even if I'll be able to do more after the next three.

RE: Momento Mori
Yeah I hope so... A lot of the plot was based on me and my girlfriend, and we just broke up so I'm having to rack my brains to keep my inspiration and drive going.
And if I don't go on tour, just send me the book and i'll sign it and send it back haha

Aww I want my copy signed to! lol I do.
I think we have coolest up and coming writer on our hands.
I bow to your superior smartitude. lol
(hehe I may have watch a lil bit to much Simpsons last night. lol)
Take as long as you need. I can't speak for everyone, but I know that I'd rather have a good 3 chapters than something just thrown together.
Again Raff is AHmazing! *one person standing ovation* lol

OMGGGG.
-totally spazzzzes outtt-
This is amazing. Yup, we'd be your fan club.
'I’d postpone my own death to be with you.'
That is so lovely. I wish someone would say that to me. XD
Icecream helps writing block! Icecream and walks in the park. Especially on rainy days. And I agree with Shandee - i'd rather wait forever for something amazing than not forever for something not amazing. Aaaw, and I'm sorry about you and your girlfriend. >__< but keep smiling and don't let it get you down.
I'd give this story a bajillion and a half out of ten. For sheer amazingness.

Yea I loved the same line Harriet loved! It made me shiver. Take all the time you need to write again. We'll be waiting.

RE: Momento Mori
Nawww thanks guys... You've no idea how warm and fuzzy that makes me feel inside haha.
It shouldn't take me too long to get back into the swing of it, cos I already know how the story ends, it's just getting to it that'll be a little bit of a problem.
Again, thanks for the support =)
Now, onwards to the ice cream!

Yaaay ice cream! I want vanilla! What will you have? lol I heard about a lot of ways to get rid of writers blocks, but never ice creams.
Well if you ever got in the mood in writing and you aren't there yet to write the novel, maybe write short stories until it's over. You can make the story related to the novel in a way that could help you later or maybe you could make it entirely different. Maybe write, 'The New Adventure of Tom and Jerry'. lol I do that sometimes to get my head out of things.

RE: Momento Mori
Well, I had some chocolate ice cream and came up with this.
First little short of how Raphael became a Vampire. Probably not up to my usual standard, but it's keeping my juices flowing haha.
Enjoy!

************************************************** ***************
The streetlight flickered on and off, casting eerie twisting shadows along the street. Raphael shivered, despite the summer heat that smothered the night, and continued walking home.
His footsteps fell heavily on the sidewalk, marring his otherwise silent passage through the night.
As one foot came down akwardly, he tripped and fell face first into the gutter. Raphael's mouth filled with the effluent of the city; cigarette butts, leaves, oil and smokey water. It stung his eyes and made him gag up what little food he had in his stomach and whatever water happend to invade his throat.
Raphael made a half-hearted attempt to stand, but came crashing down again, cutting his arm on a stray shard of broken glass. Blood dripped from the wound, and Raphael sat in the gutter, silent tears making damp paths down his face. The pain in his arm slowly started to fade and numb, making way for a brand new pain.
Raphael felt itbefore he noticed where it came from. The feeling burned his skin all over his body, and seared like a thousand red hot knives before localising into two points on his neck. After the pain came the pleasure. It was greater than anything else he had ever experienced; greater than the numerous drugs that he had gotten high on since his time on the street.
Strong arms wrapped around his waist, crushing him in their eagerness but he didn't care. It was all he could do to stop himself from moaning in ecstacy at whatever it was the stranger was doing to him.
After what seemed a few short minutes, but was actually an hour, Raphael was dropped to the ground like an unloved toy; it's novelty worn off and passed on to someone else.
As soon as the pleasure had come, it was once again replaced by pain. Raphael's cracked and dried lips parted, trying to scream but no sound came.
Then came the cold. It spread from his feet, travelling slowly upwards in lazy spirals. So cold that it felt like he was freezing to death.
But death never came for him. He continued to lie there, still as stone and just as cold.
As the hours ticked slowly by, Raphael managed to claw his way off of the sidewalk and into an alley way on the other side of the road.
The ten metres seemed like miles, and every strained movement tore through his body and started his pain anew.
Finally, he crawled into the alley and leaned himself against the wall, breathing deeply. After a while, the pain was enough to stop him from breathing.
Not long after that, it stopped his heart.
Dawn broke over the city, and already cars and people were rushing to their destinations. One car stood out among the sea of taxi's and commodores.
A bright pink limo with tinted out windows cruised down the streets, avoiding each and every red light and traffic jam on the way.
Weaving in and out of traffic, the limo slowed its pace enough to look as incospicuous as a bright pink limo could. Inside, banana pink fingernails tapped impatiently against the white leather upholstery. "It's nearby, probably two blocks from here. Can you smell it yet?"
The driver heard her through the glass partition as easily as if his passenger was right next to him. "Yeah, I can smell it. Still smells sorta human, reckon we'll get there in time?"
The passenger didn't answer.

RE: Momento Mori
Oh my god! I feel so bad for Raphael! My hand was over my mouth and I don't think I blinked through the whole thing!! I loved your description of his feeling when he was bitten.
I loooved this sentence: 'It was all he could do to stop himself from moaning in ecstasy at whatever it was the stranger was doing to him.'
I read it like twice and I still want to read it again. Good job Raff really I loved it! If that what kept your juices flow then do it again! It's awesome!
