The Past Days of Lestat
Tonight, the band “A devil’s day out” stayed up all night, training for the big concert coming up a few days after. A new concert in Death Valley only means more stress for Lestat and more fans begging to embrace, for he was the lead singer in the band. Unlike any other vampire, Lestat wasn’t burnt by the sunlight. However, he wasn’t yet used to it as the sun had always stung his charming grey eyes. That was the same reason why he asked the band to stop training once the sun was about to rise.
On his way home, he gave a visit to his old home, the Lafayette Cemetery. He wanted to call back the days of the past; the same day he became a famous rock star. It was when he decided to brush away the earth covering him for years. He only tried to blend in the new century and enjoy the rock music, which was going very popular now. Maybe he could also hunt some real victims down, rather than pathetically feeding on animals underground, near to his grave.
‘A devil’s day out’ was the less popular band, yet the luckiest in existence. They were always playing loud in the building that neared his home. The first day he spent outside his grave, he decided to grant them what they’ve always wished for…Being a famous rock band. His death seemed to be even more comfortable and amusing as time passed, but immortality made his soul to remain unsettled and confused.
The idea of living forever, to him, was nothing more than a repeated experience of pain and loneliness. Living in the shadows was what made him change his mind about his thirst for power and prevalence in the world where he lived. But that feeling soon faded ever since he met his fair lady Jesse.
Lestat’s rock music on MTV was where she’d always seen him, like any rock fan. But it felt different when they accidently met in the vampires’ bar. She only went there trying to track down him and his vicious people. It was the night they fell for each for each other and they remained so ever since.
She was very beautiful then, not as beautiful as she became after she died, though. Before she died, she’s asked him many times to show her how to live like a vampire. But as much as he hated immortality, he loved how living people looked so beautiful, so he had always refused to kill her.
He had always talked with Jesse about it, saying, “Your heart and your short use suddenly seem to me more precious than anything I’d ever known”.

Very nice piece. Inspired by Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned?

Thanks! Yea, it's basically about the Queen of The Damned. I was trying to get better in the descriptive paragraphs. Hope I'm getting better.

Thanks!!! You got my hopes up. I'll definitely work on it then. Yea, 'Queen of The Damned' was very good! But I hate to think of Lestat as 'Stewart the actor'. It's better to think of him as another person.
