Well, I guess it happened like it usually does. I was born in California then adopted and moved to Texas. I Awakened in the 6th grade and of course, that seemed pretty early. My biological father was a vampire and my mother was normal. (It took me 8 months to find the records) My adopted parents are kinda hellfire and brimstone/damn everything "evil" to hell. Which made it really difficult to do research and find out what was happening to me. I began to notice things about myself that were different. At first I passed it off as puberty but after playing on a two story roof with my friend, getting pushed off backwards, and landing on my feet unhurt with my canines slightly longer kinda made me think. I tested and watched myself for anything that wasn't normal. (I guess that's the term) I began to notice that my senses were stronger than they should have been as well as my pain tolerance. My pressure points were not nearly as easily affected and when hurt the pain seemed far away and insignificant. I noticed that my fingernails grew much faster than normal and grow slightly pointed even after being cut in a straight line. When aroused either sexually or when feeling a strong emotion my gums began to ache and my canines seemed to slide. At first I thought it was my imagination, but after people began to comment I checked them myself. They weren't and aren't "fangs" per sey, but they grow slightly to a point and are a tiny bit longer. I began to try to make them to it consciously, it was hard at first but now it comes nearly naturally. I began testing my body, trying to make jumps and see exactly how far I could push my body. I tried to pass it off as just being athletic. I guess we all go through the denial stage. But I talked to some people who understood and knew. They explained everything to me. I regret I can't mention names but I promised I would keep it quiet. I'm now nineteen and very sure of myself. People still try to tell me it's my imagination but I know better. I haven't lived a hundred years, lol but I'm getting there.

That is great. Everyone goes through denial, I know I did, but what you've explained was definately not your imagination. I sort of went through the same thing, but at the age of 14 almost 15. I was a freshman in highschool and at that time the first sign was the craving for blood. I thought I was going crazy, I told my friends, they are not my friends anymore, and they called me crazy and told the princable of my highschool. He just gave me a lecture about how lying is bad, but I was telling the truth. Then I started to research, thats when I figured what was happening and started joining forums about vampires to help get some answers to my questions. The forums helped enormously, and this one does too for when I feel like talking to people like me. I also had noticed that my nails grow faster than humans, but to get them pointed I have to file them. It's the same way with my k9's, in my sophmore year in highschool I noticed my k9's were getting slightly sharper when aroused, and seemed to be getting a bit longer as well. Again, I thought I was going crazy, but come to find out I was not crazy. And once again the kind people in the forums helped me to better understand what I was going though. But it would finally be nice to have someone else like me in my life, in person, for when I need to talk and have questions answered in the journey of finding out who I really am. It would also be nice, for once, to have an actual donor. I have been, since the age of 14 or 15, getting my source of blood from seared steak, it does not last for very long but it does the trick.

I did most of my research apart from the forums because of all the wannabe's etc. I hated getting all that false info and so I found the real thing. lol The lines of fact and fiction blur too easily. Even today and on this forum there are vampires who believe we are just humans with a weird need. That's not true. We're different. They don't believe some of the "powers" actually exist and can be used to an amazing extent. I don't understand why some vampires make themselves out to be either more than they are or less than they are. Most of the abilities we have are easily explained. We're not supernatural, but superhuman??? Yes. lol I don't take blood from anything not human or vampire. I know animal blood can be cooked but I don't trust it. I've tried it before and it doesn't help near as well as human blood does. I have two friends who are vampires (DEADBLACKCROW and til_deathx3) and I I feed from them. I've found that vampire blood is way more powerful than anything else. No human blood has EVER compared to DEADBLACKCROW's blood.

That sounds heavenly. lol I have never gotten the chance to try human or vampire blood, only animal. It sounds like I'm missing out. lol I agree with you on wannabe's and blood is just not a weird need, if I go without it for too long, and I'm sure many other's have too, I get sick. And it is NOT fun.

I'm not surprised. lol Most people give you a go to hell looks when you say "ohh me hungry, let me feast upon your blood." lol I found a couple of friends I can really trust and so I'm never really in need. I haven't been able to feed for like over a month and I'm really feeling the effects. I have a really good friend who's human and I'm thinking about explaining it all and asking him. DEADBLACKCROW is always with til-deathx3 so I haven't been able to feed. I don't think my friend will have a problem with it but I'm still hesitant.
