Active Death and the Resistant Author
Your name hangs on the very air that I breathe.
It's thick like smoke. Chokeing me.
So full of longing, and loss at your suicide.
We used to be close. As close as they would let us.
So close yet so far. Like the sea to a beached ship.
With you being a prep and me being, me.
It was hard. We'd lie and, sneek around.
We acted like everything was fine.
At school it was all an act.
That lie it tore us apart.
A tissue, in a hurricane.
You were so sweet. Like sugar.
You dipped me in your love.
Then when they were there,
You hid it all away.
You teased me the night before.
What an actor you are.
At your funeral, I remembered this.
For you were the true actor.
You acted like the acting wasn't tearing you apart.
A true actor of acting.
When I was falling openly, you seemed strong.
Yet you were the weak one, and I wasn't strong at all.
You fell between my fingers, like a breeze.
Addiction, such a sweet poison.
You killed me, when you killed yourself.
I sit here wondering. If you truely loved me,
Like you said you did.
You said I was your air.
If I wasn't there you'd die.
I went away just for a day.
And you shot yourself.
Your mother found you,
And A note stained in red.
With my name. A nameless name.
With words so beautiful.
I love you. So sweet, so sad.
The stars cry for us and what could have been.
Remember and forget.
That's all I can do now.
So now I am the one acting.
I act like I'm fine when they say.
He's not you, don't give in.
He is me, He is my life.
Like a candle you blew me out.
With a single gunshot.
In a glass room called my heart.
Now the candle flickers.
Bang! And the room goes dark.
