If it's one thing I love to do -- it's write poetry!
Carefully now, tread your steps light
Peer not into the darkness that hides shadowed fright
Hold close that shattered, fragmented human cure,
For one day you may truly fall victim to their lure.
Steepled in mysteries and shadows that conceal,
The truth, of which you desire to reveal.
All of these voices spiral around you,
Weaving lies and deception with nary a clue. . .
Trust is not something easily granted here
On this hallowed ground of fear,
But step close to embrace the longing in your heart,
Refuse yourself entrance to the insane, darkest part.
Do you have the courage to step forward?
Into a future where the light shines toward?
I'll commend you if you truly are able --
For your name will forever be imprinted in this fable.
Too late, it seems, for there is no going back.
The shadows have tangled you and pulled you off track!
Be graced at least, that you are one of the few --
So sorry my friend, that the venom claims you.

The end! Du-nuh! It took a while to type up, and it might be a bit fictionalized in the way that the vampire and the person were portrayed, but I like how it came out.
