This is the first of a series of Serial Killer poems I wrote:

Beauty in a moment of cruelty

Your body laying on the ground
your dead eyes staring at me
not breathing, not a single sound
how did you think you death would be?

In your eyes I see my soul
shattered, all most dead
its the real victim when my hate unfolds
but now I'm calm - the beast has been fed

The person Patrick bateman doesn't exist
but the very concept of me do though
I have a physical body - eyes and fists
I have the ability to think - fast and slow
yet I'm not there

But Patrick Bateman simply cannot be
I have the blood of a lot of people on my hands
the bodies on the floor makes it easy to see
and I seem to be able to move and dance
Yet I'm not there

Yes, I am tall, strong and fairly handsome

The only god that I seem to follow is the dollar. It defines what I can and cannot have. It provides security and brings me food, granted if I can perform the ritual of "buying". High-priests of this god demand that I work in the temple so that way I am contributing to the institution as whole. I'm working at accomplishing training so that way I can then accept greater tutelage and move up in the hierarchy.

---- And that folks, is a good analogy for our society, IMHO.

Becoming a God

to take somebodies life isnt all
everyone can kill - big and small!
to grap the energy of life
you'll need a lot more than a knife

you'll need to be emotionless
so you have no reason to confess
you have to be invisible for the squad
or else they'll stop you becoming a god

the mighty red dragon you see I am
a hundred times more feared then the son of sam
but what I really seek is a lot more
I demand forever subjection and awe!
