Preserving real blood for necklace vials
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to preserve a fluid sample of my own blood in a necklace vial for my lover, but how do I prevent it from clotting/drying up within the vial? Is there something I can dissolve to keep the beautiful red fluid nature for months/years to come? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Find an anticoagulent. It stops the blood from coagulating and dying. Maybe that will work.

Apparently, if you can magically remove the plasma in the blood, that should work. :] But realistically, an airtight seal and some Warfarin can make it last longer. I think.

:] Don't blame me if doesn't work. Blame my biology teacher. He said it still dries up though, just after a shorter period of time.

that is too bad. there is probably a chemical that could make blood not coagulate. while still keeping its color

Bleh, I meant longer period of time.
And, yeah, Warfarin is a type of rat poison and an anticoagulant.
