Well, to be honest it just feels like someone is dragging a pin or other long thin sharp object, aka the needle, across your skin over and over and over, but like.. cutting skin.

If anyone's ever like.. self harmed.. they know what I mean. Tattooing is like cutting. Hurts, but when its over, its instant relief, and while you're clenching your teeth and fighting the urge to give up halfway through.. by the end of it, you forget the pain and you realize it wasn't so bad afterall.

Thank you both for your replies. My sister has a tattoo on her neck, but she was kind of vague about what it feels like to get one. But both of your descriptions helped a lot.
