Soooo I have this friend who is a drug addict,he's on house arrest now because he got caught leaving school in the middle of classes with cocaine on him so he could go and smoke it or snort it or whatever you do with it.
Mid-Freshman year,he didnt go to school for a month because he would rather stay home and experiment with different drugs such as mushrooms,coke,etc....I was there for him and helped him get through it. 18 months he was completely clean(so i thought)
He's in trouble again and I feel bad for him but the same thing he told me before,and I dont really believe him.I love this kid to death and he needs help,but it really hurt my feelings because he lied to me for 16 of those 18 months. every weekend he would go out and smoke weed.And I HATE when people lie to me.
So I dont know what to do,I want to support him but I also dont want to be lied to again......
This is wayyy tooo much for me right now....

try and help him just check in on him see what he had been doing , help pick new friends to be around. taken him out the places where he is getting it .. i hope this helps you out

I agree with sweetyxblood. I also think if you do all of this and see nothing changes or it does and ends up being a lie again then you must let him go. You can't hold his hand forever. A mother knows that when their child need to learn to walk then they must let go and let them fall. It hurts to watch those you love to fall but some times that's what has to be done. You can't be that cruch forever either or those that depend on the cruch too long will always depend on the cruch untill it is taken away. Hopes this helps my dear daughter.

I agree with Alexandria. Sometimes you just have to know when to walk away -- it is really hard, but sometimes it is for the best.

I Agree something must be done,though i would try rehab for the person,and my a mental consuler.it could be a mental trigger.so i think maybe if it is then it wouldnt hurt to try it.

Mmm.. stick by him but be more forceful, and insist that you won't help him if he continues to lie. Definately don't abandon him at the time he needs you most. (:

Thanks you guys!!I decided to help,we set some rules down and I told him that if he lies to me again that he shouldnt expect me to talk to him for a while!!
Like I said before,lying hurts me really bad and I hate it,so hopefully he'll take that to heart!!
So hopefully this works out!!Got my fingers and toes crossed!!
