I have a question.
This may sound like a stupid question, but why do vampires crave blood?

We crave blood for many different reasons, but as I described in the thread I just posted, not all of us are blood drinkers. Some of the reason extend from a feral lust for the taste of blood to the simple explaination being our bodies require energy and it will manifest whatever desires it must to get us to seek out this energy, ie, creating a blood craving in order to get us to seek out a blood donor to get the energy contained within it. Also, there are those who require something "more" from the blood that simple energy feeding can't satisfy, whether it be some sort of vitamin or nutrient in the blood or something else, I couldn't honestly say. I do know that I am a hybrid vamipre, I can blood feed and energy feed, yet I can't go without blood for too long without it hindering me badly, and after a long while even energy feeding will not sustain me. I will HAVE to blood feed. So, sorry, that's the best I can do to answer your question. ^_^

I know several Sanguine Vampires who no longer crave the blood lust due to their advanced age. Although they do feel the need to feed on blood occasionally.

Black water you are right. Though I do need blood but I don't need it as much as I once use to. yes, even though there are times when I don't need to feed I like to.

well, i'm psi, used to be sang, but felt it immoral. i changed to psi because i believe it to be less damaging to the human in question, and just as effective as blood. i don't need to drink human blood anymore, and i haven't for a few years. i am only young, very young indeed, but i no longer crave human blood as i have found a way to extract what i need from the alternative way of drinking. i believe that what others need is just the pure energy from the humn, from part of their core, so drinking blood is a good way to get it. however, for me, there has been an alternative. if i drink via psi, then i am just, to coin a phrase, "cutting out the middle man". i am drining from the energy itself, not the life force that contains the energy...
