Why are you guys so fond of the gothic style? Even a subforum for clothing and hair. And some avatars seem gothic? Is it cause it reminds you of the night and "real vampires" are night people? Like how "normal" people like flower dresses cause it reminds them of daytime?

I like flower dresses.
Alot of the people on here probably aren't "goths".
Don't catergorize everyone 'till you've had a lengthy conversation with each person on here.

You don't see many dark, morbid gangsta rappers; either.
Or any emo, eyeliner-tear'd highschool basketball star players.

Firstly, it's not everyone here who embraces the more dark side of things.

Secondly, even though the 'majority' seems on the 'gothic' side, I just think it's to do with depth, mindset, and the general 'way we work and think'. We all grew up a little 'weird' maybe, or different, or unaccepted, or whatever. We're all on a bit of a different wave length or level of conciousness compared to those.. 'non' vamps. So naturally, I suppose some of us are just drawn to darker things, or less acceptable ways of being... because were we born as normal people, playboy bunnies, gangsta kids or sporty boys and girls; we'd have dressed for THAT part, instead. Not for stereotype sake, but because it's just how our mind would create our image based on our traits and personality styles. If I was into sports my whole life, and hadn't been born with the mindset I have towards vampirism; I'm pretty sure I'd look a little different than I do.
And, embracing the darker things sets you apart, helps you differentiate yourself from those on a different mindset than yourself. Not that I or anyone should judge based on whos the same and whos different than oneself, but it's a 'fitting in' thing.
I didn't fit in with those on a different wavelength, those... on the lighter side of life.

Sides' .. Blood, pain, and psychic drainage is not exactly for the fainthearted. I wouldn't typically expect to see a weak minded airhead girl down with the alternative lifestyle.

And blacks a suave, stylish look anyways. :P

i'm actually very fond of nice, cute dresses; high heels; designer bags; etc...and i'm a vampire. but by that same token, i enjoy to dress in a more gothic style as well. i do when i feel the darker side of me is more dominant. but, just as Ninja said..."don't judge a book by it's cover"
