The title is the question, I'd like to see what everyone here has experienced when they awakened, whether they had psychic abilities before or if they developed after the awakening occured, or whether having psychic ability helped in awakening. Mostly, this would be a question for psychic vampirism, yet I posted it here because I'd like to confer with sanguine vamps as well to see if psychic abilities played any kind of role in their vampiric awakening.

As far as I was aware, the description of a psychic vampire is that they only feed on a person's energies. Couldn't these extra abilities just be what a person is able to do if they sort of attune themselves to that sort of thinking? Sort of like going from playing with a deck of Bicycles to a deck of Tarot cards?

I mean, it doesn't make sense that everyone has their own special ability or there would be no defining traits of a vampire.

"So Jesse, how did you realise you were a vampire?"

"...I talked with dolphins. Seriously. I did."

I didn't say that, but to each their own. I'm simply asking this so we can gain a consensus on whether most vampires increase psychic awareness after they awaken, or if they had abilities before they awakened do these abilities grow stronger. Simply put, I want to know what everyone has experienced in this regard, so if you'd like to post to that regard, feel free to anytime.

Well in my experience we do not relize we have phychic abilities until they act up which in most cases is during or after an awakening. The phychic abilities we have is caused by the active use in our brains when it comes to obtaining energy. My abilities are getting stronger every day since the beggining of my awakening almost 3 years ago.

Before During and after

I had a very little bit before. Enough to know if someone was being truthful, and sometimes pick up on their emotions. Then it got a lot stronger, and i think i have more potential as i'm always doing weird things, but i'm probably not going to explore that. I'm a psychic vampire, so that might have something to do with it. So i don't know how to answer the poll question, because i'm kind of all three like Aloneness is.
