I know someone who, though he is a complete jerk, might be a vampire, or awakening. I don't know, and I hate his guts right now because I had a crush on him, but he did something really mean to me so I hate him, and it takes a lot to make me hate someone as I am normally a very trusting, kind individual. I am probably going to be stuck going to the same camp as he is for three weeks straight this summer and I don't know how to deal with this! He might not even be a vampire; he always manages to mess with what I'm trying to find sense energy wise, so I don't bother any more. The only times that I'm ever able to get a real result was back when I didn't shield my psychicness and I saw him hook up with his ex. I just read somewhere that vampires are usually draw to other vampires. Is this what they meant and is it true? Did they mean as friends or attracted to?

You're speaking of the what is called the becon. It's just the attraction between people whose spirits resonate well with one another. It can range anywhere from just a desire to talk to a person or just to be near them, to wanting to hit all bases with them. Not necesarily romantic, but it can be. There may also be a strong desire to feed off of that person. It's often stronger when coming from those who don't know what they are yet. The un-awakened. Supposedly it's a way for awakened vampires to be drawn to unawakened vampires so they may awaken them (by feeding off them and thus forcing them to feed themselves), but that's just a theory. It's not really the best way to be awakened. The smoothest way is just to have the unawakened spend alot of time amongst those who are already awakened and letting them ask questions in their own time, but not forcing them to take in all the information at once. Takes longer, but is a much smoother transition and there's usually alot less problems with the person going into denile.
