I'd like to read the first book before I see the movie. Soon perhaps.

I advise that you do not see the movie, I have seen the ending altercation with james and bella and they completely screwed it up. Alice is my favorite character though.

I think the movie looks great. When it comes to movies and books, it doesn't bother me if things have been changed around, because things in films just have to be changed sometimes to fit in with the film and can't always directly follow with the book.

I dont know if I should see it. I mean, they picked the worse actors to play Carlisle and Edward. And they did an okay job with whats her face playing bella. But from the pic on stephenie's website she seems too...confident to play bella.

Most of it. I was on set with Robert (Who plays Edward), and Taylor(Jacob). *throws black rose an evil look* Sorry, It's starting to get annoying. Why don't you wait to see it before you say that about his acting.
I do agree on the Kristen part tho.

It's an interesting series, but I don't quite understand the hype for it. The vampires in it are so different from anything that's come before, that it's difficult for me to call them that. A little variation, uniqueness, sure, but they're incredibly unfamiliar to me as vampires, and while I know the author has claimed not to have based her vampires on others, they seem very much based on modern vampires, in that while they are "vampires" they are not VAMPIRES. The vampire, for hundreds of years may have always come in radically different forms, but they were always vampires. Now, the vampire is hardly anything more than a Peter Pan with a taste for blood, both inside and outside literature and fiction.
Also, the type of romance of the story is something that has been done many times before, and while it is occasionally made more interesting by various other factors, I don't find it to be so in this case. I don't really have anything more to say about this aspect. It simply doesn't appeal to me so much.
