i think the idea of being changed into a vampire is something that hollywood promotes.. at least in the sence that your bitten and then your turned, i believe that the true vampires are born that way, we have that special urge inside us to hunger for the things normal people do not.. through storytelling and movies.. those lines of reality have been blurred, causing our kind to be romantisised (i think i spelled that wrong) almost making vampires... like an std.. the mixture of bodily fluids seals your fate..

I have researched this at great length and I conclude it is possible. A blood exchange can cause the human's body to react and Awaken. I first discovered this myself when after a year together,my gf began to awaken. It seems that the longer a human stays in close personal contact with a vampire, the easier it is for the human to awaken.
