RE: Just to make sure...Is it true?
I will believe it when it bites me... Sunlight sensitivity, blood feeding, and fast recovery are all things I can buy into, but feeding exclusively on blood, and other sort of deformities (teeth) are hard to get behind. I firmly believe that those pictures of the teeth were photo shopped, and the so called case files are easily replicated by taking a trip to your local costume and gag shoppe.
From my own personal experiences, the being awake only at night seems a touch unreasonable. Granted I personally get cranky from the daytime hours outside of winter (factors like tiredness, my inability to create a comfortable body temperature on my own, eye soreness, sun burns, and a list of a few other things). But living exclusively during the nighttime without a house-pet to run your chores is more inconvenient and not practical. Plus, most of the physical discomforts can be remedied by sunblock, sun glasses, and staying in the shade.
Feeding exclusively on blood is something that also concerns me, while the body, vampire or otherwise, can extract some nutrients from drinking blood, it still has other needs and too much blood can cause vitamin overloads (your body looks for a place to store the extra nutrients and sometimes does so in a way that is unhealthy to certain organs; your eyes for example) and other health problems. While it is stated that it is healthy for a vampire to drink blood, there is a moderation point that the person has to be aware of before it causes problems. One has to remember also, that vampires still do require some human aspects: sleep, air, and real FOOD. Its just the way vampires use these energy sources is what makes them different.
But thats just from my own personal experiences, don't take it for fact, I am just basing it off of what I know for myself.
