clans and strains
this is a subject that i am really interested...
with this thread i would like to know if you could tell me something about the new clans and strains, because i suppose that we all already get imformed(i don't know if i spell it right) about the "firsts"...
well but if someone need to know something about our origins, you can ask, because i am sure that if i don't, someone will help you...
so, that first point(new clans and strains) is already made...
2nd point: i know that on the thread (turned into a vampire?) i said that all of us(even humans) have this predator instinct, i also said that they are not like us, because i think that if nature made us like this, for a reason(the same for them)... so what i mean is that we are all connected and all of us have the same origins... it's just like names... a guy that we don't know and "it's not" from our family can have the same last name that we... we all have the same "father"... and they made the 13 first clans and all the strains... but now exist so much more of it...
so my questions:.
-do you know something about the new ones(clans and strains)?
-do you are a member of any?
-do you know the stories(origin, battles, friends, enemeis, territory, founders)?
-who's the master, and the origin?
-"etc."?
**sorry my gramatical errors

RE: clans and strains
Personally, i think that most of the "clans" are from Vampire: The Masquerade. If there are any real clans I haven't found them. Small Covens and larger Houses are quite numerous. I'm beginning my own. Dealing with "Clans" I really don't know much about how real they are. Others may have more info on that subject. Some of us are loners. But for me I'm a social person. I like to be with people. Besides vampires get along better with other vampires. Well, most of the time.

RE: clans and strains
That's very true.
I myself am not in any type or kind of Coven.
My Master and I try to stay away
for reason I do not know. Truthfully I would love to get to know more Vampires then my Master... though I cannot seem to join this Vampire: The Masquerade.

RE: clans and strains
Vampire:The Masquerade is simply a role-playing game for non-vamps. I'm sure there are actual vampires playing too, however for me personally, I prefer not to be involved in something like that. It blurrs the lines of fact and fiction and I prefer the facts to fiction. I have also been looking for other vampires to talk to. There are only two others at my school and we are the best of friends.

RE: clans and strains
ok
let me see...
for what i know...
i just know one clan... now a clan because... they have a new more vamp on them family... first it was a strain, because they only were vamps from the family... but then they "adopted" a teen vamp... that isn't from the family... so it is a clan...
it was to be a clan sooner but i didn't accepted... it is my friend family... so i spend there lot of time... but i just don't belong... i HATE rules... being my only rule, "don't exist rules"...^^
but it's true... exist clans and strains...
not only on that game, but also on reality...
i know it because they know other clans and strains... but they just don't tell me...
so, changing conversation... how do i find that game... what's that about?

RE: clans and strains
It's actually true, though I doubt that they would actually call themselves clans. But there are very large groups, entire communities out there of vampires. It seems to work more like a big company styled gang than a clan though if you ask me. A friend of mine is a lycan and the group he's with has on occaision an actual battle with the local vampires. Not pretty. I don't know how many of them there are or where they're all at, nor why they insist on fighting with each other. I feel the more I ask the closer I would get to involving myself in their private little war. All my information I have I got from my friend, and I feel I can trust him about telling the truth about all this. As unlikely as it all seems, all those vampire/lycan politics you see in the movies and in the world of darkness games have a little merit to them...unfortunately. And no, none of that was a joke.

RE: clans and strains
There are a lot of Vampire Houses out there. They organize meetings for the vampire community, giving information, readings etc. Some have an initiatory path every fledgeling needs to make, some are just a casual group of vamps coming together. Some have a very formal way of meeting, with dresscodes etc. Some just hang out in the park. It's all a matter of preference I guess.
Some of the more well known houses are the House of Dreaming, House Eclipse, House Kheperu en the Stragoi Vii of the Sanguinarius, although I don't believe that is a house anymore... And of course the Aset Ka, but little is known of this occult vampire group.

RE: clans and strains
Ah, I see. I just found a book called the Psychic Vampire Codex written by Michelle Bellanger, the founder of House Kheperu. Very good book, though I'm only halfway through it so far. I've never even heard of the Sanguinarius or any of it's houses until now. Just how many houses are there? And how many other groups besides the Sanguinarius are there?

RE: clans and strains
You obviously have no idea what a "real" vampire is.
