Hmm...Long living vampires. That is a good one now isn't it. It all depends on what you want to believe. Truth is what you want to believe right? There are those that believe in ghost. Some clam to see them or some thing of the sort, some just believe, and others don't believe at all.
In real it's like any thing else that this world believes in. There are those that believe in a God, or Gods/ Goddess but they have only a book to let them know that this beliefe is there.
Here is some thing that is actually good to think about, All fiction has a spark of truth to it.
Let me pose a question,if there are things out there that will stop some one from living, then where is it impossible for things out there to stop the natural age of death? We've heard of children who age twice as fast, if not faster, as a normal human. By the time they are twenty, they look as though they are in their 70's. If they get to live to the age of twenty. Though this is seldom heard of. Why would be want to give out facts to the foutain of youth? I am not the undead. I live, breath, bleed, and do not age. I need food, an not just blood. I can't live with out all of the natural things that the world has to give. When I get sick, it is seldom, but I do not die. It's like coming close to going into a comma. May be this will help just a little.

I am also not saying that we can not die. If you stab our hearts with a stake, lol, then yes we'll die. Just like a natural human. If you cut our heads off, sure we will die. Not mist to bring us back. Though we have so many way in protecting our selves.

Hmm, interesting. And good point about death and life. I believe the world is a balance of forces, and this helps support that theory. If there is death, then at the same time there is an equal opportunity for life. And if there is an excellerated aging, it follows that somewhere there must be an almost none-aging being, otherwise thought to be immortal. I love this, thank you. It helps my mind wrap around the theory of immortals when society has placed a large "disbelieve" sign on it, lol. I'd love to discuss this more with those that call themselves immortal. ^_^ PM me if you'd like.

As for global warming, I don't spend money that I don't have to on it. Although I'd love to check out those hydrogen powered cars. The emissions produced by gasoline cars harms the earth, and she's been through enough as it is due to humans. I believe it is our responsibility to take care of the earth and protect her, even from ourselves.

I think Global Warming IS something we should worry about, Abe. The reality is that the icecaps ARE melting and sea levels ARE rising and the earth IS getting hotter. What we do now could change the future so of course we should try. It isn't something made up to get us to spend money - although i'm sure some people take advantage and get us to spend more than we should.
And on the subject of immortality.. I don't think it's possible because skin cells and brain cells etc. age over time (wear and tear and all that) and I don't believe there's any way to stop this (vampire or human). Olay Regeneration Skin Care Cream might make you look younger, yes, but we can't stop the aging process completely.

You are right in a way. There are thousands of cells that die on us every day. I'm no doctor but what I can tell you is that we are like you. We have skin cells that die every day and like you we have skill cells that replace their selfs. A human can live like a vegetable for years as long as the heart is good. Our heart is the most important part of our body.
Did you know that a woman only has so many eggs with in her body. That is why the avery age of a woman going threw menapause loses the ability to give life. Now I can tell you that my supply has long gone some time ago.
The differents between womens eggs, and brain cells, blood cells, skin cell ect is that the brain, blood, and skin cells regenerate. Or should I say the body replaces with new ones. It's not that the eggs die as we get older we only have so many to spare.
Now for those who do believe in balance, if there is such a thing as a person unable to regenrate blood quickly ( those people who are bleeders or takes a really long time for their skin to make a scab over a wound) then why not a person who's blood cells are able to heal a person at such a rate that keeps them from ageing from the wear and tare of life.
