No, the sun will eventually detonate and we'll have the opposite of the Big Bang, which supposedly started this whole galaxy, called the Big Boom, which, the sun as a star will become a black hole and such everything into it. Supposed to happen millions of years from now, maybe billions, lol. No worries, my immortal friendlies, don't have to worry about that for a while. ^_^

Myth? Look around, dude. I'm in the south and each summer it gets hotter and hotter here. The weather is going all wacky with each season. Anyone else noticed this besides me?

Ok, every one is getting way off topic here. What are your theories on what a real life vampire is?
A vampire is a person who is unable to produce the necessary amount of energy to healthily sustain themselves, and thus must obtain it from another source. There are varying viewpoints as to why this occurs, but I'll leave that discussion alone for now. Most vampires obtain their energy from other humans, seeing as how the energy from other people resonates better with their own than that of minerals, plants, and animals. How a vampire goes about obtaining this energy differs from person to person, but can usually be placed in one of two catergories, psychic and sanguine vampires. The energy that each obtains is the same, but the method is different. Sanguine vampires obtain their energy from a physical substance that carries the energy they need. The most viable of which is of course blood. Blood is probably the best physical carrier of the spiritual energy that we all need to survive. Psychic vampires tend to take their natural affininty for sensing energy and use it to feel out, attach to, and then drain energy from the aura of other people. Vampires of both types can obtain energy from other sources, but lets face it, those of us who have tried know all to well it doesn't work very well. Keep in mind that drinking blood or draining a person's energy does not make you a vampire. What makes a vampire a vampire is having to feed off of another's energy, because if we do not, we become weak and sickly and suffer greatly from the thirst. I'll admit the thirst is naturally for blood, but in mankind's more recent reacceptance of the concept of spiritual energy, that part of the instinct may eventually wear off over the next few generations and go in favor of just the energy. As for all the abilties that real life vampires have, they are not so extravegant as the vampires in the movies. But all our abilities com from techniques that anyone can learn, but we usually are forced to use them as a means of survival. I think it best to leave the discussion of what abilities vampires have and how they are done to another thread if anyone chooses to start one.
As for the immortal vampires you hear about, I can't say I've ever seen any evidence of such a thing. I want to believe in it, but so far nothing has shown me that it exisits. Of those that I've spoken to that claim to be immortal, or at least the insanely long lived, they have turned out to be pretenders or were unable to tell me anything beyond what can be read in Bram Stoker's or Anne Rice's work. No offense Abe. But on the bright side for those who are interested, Vladimir has started several posts that make good points and still give me hope that this kind of vampire really does exist.
