Okay, let me try a theory by ya. I believe the reason we aren't immortal (aside from me, I believe my vampyrism is spiritual) is because we are decendants of the old immortal vamps, human living vampires whose genetic disposition for vampyrism has been diluted over the ages, causing us to display only the basics of vampyrism, and being mainly human our lives are finite and not immortal. So, today, HLVs, as we're called, are not immortal. We may look younger than most people our age, we may be stronger and seems to live longer than others, but it is simply our feeding and taking in of energy that keeps our bodies in such a state, and we don't live forever.
This sound like a reasonable thought to yall?

Means Human Living Vampire, sorry. And as for obtaining immortality, there's all kinds of forces in this world we don't understand, and many magicks and abilities that have been lost to us due to human control and selection. If you believe in such things, yes, it should be possible to obtain immortality, but why would you want to? We're meant to be here for an allotted time and learn the lessons we're meant to, then move on to our next lifetime. If we're stuck in this realm then how can we possibly move on. Also, I would discourage any rituals or magicks that promise immortality, as well any demon summoning to promise you immortality, this will all end badly, usually for you, but almost always for someone else as well. Trust me, it's not worth it to live forever if you don't have free will.

I think the term "immortality" is used too often. Nothing lasts forever or indefinately so nothing is truly "immortal." I use it to determine the difference between a normal human and a vampire, and also we live longer than normal and are harder to kill so I use the term to cover that too. But nothing is immortal in the sense that you can't die and live until the end of time.

Well, the sun is going to explode one day, destroying the earth. It's impossible to live forever, unless you're an immortal cockroach. Who can fly from galaxy to galaxy without suffocating or imploding or whatnot. :]
