About what Tobias said , i think that the lack of consciousness , and of will is the only one that could be something near death , especially for a vampire who does not awaken , let's say born in conditions that do not let him awaken this lifetime .
Similar to human souls who many lose themeslves in oblivion , refusing the existance of other worlds -they have acces to them but they deny them ,refusing metaphisycal consciousness -this i think is one of main conditions that make human soul mortal .
The way i see it real death comes only from inside , not from from outside ,and even humans in this logic can have acces to imortality if they pass over the unconditional love for what's next to them and accepting what is beyond
But i think that beings like vampires ,weres , otherkin have an inborn immortal soul , that only can be unmanifested ,but can't be destroyed , while a human soul is born mortal but with the access to imortality

No matter who or what you are, you can be killed. Immmortal or just mortal you can still die.

Emotionally. Those are the lyrics to a song by My Chemical Romance, and they explain how you can still "die" inside, even if you're immortal. (: But, like, technically die? Well, I don't think anyone could survive being cut into pieces and burnt in a fire.

Annnnd, I go on a werewolf forum and someone brought up the idea of a genetic mutation. It was to do with the immune system having a reaction to something that is triggered by the moon phases and earth's gravitation etc. People were disputing the point that people are born with a certain DNA, too, as well as awakening etc.

these explanations are too evasive and , too human i was expecting at least some understand what i am talking about ,and have an answer if they know it or really trust that immortality can fail ,but maybe things better stay as they are

Makes them from what ? which is the previous state ? humans ? like humans are in the center of everything ... , i think is just the human yearning to be divine which makes them imagine they can be 'turned' into other beings ...

Hellen, I have to ask, why do you limit yourself by only assuming things about the spirit. Yes, the spirit is immortal, and after this lifetime we'll never have this body again, never look like this again. But you must realize that only through a balance of spirit and physical can we achieve a true balance in our Selves. Yes, humans often dramatize "changing" into something fantastical, but were you once considered human before you awakened? We all probably did, even our resident Immortals were once human. I know I considered myself human, and by all physical accounts my body remains thus. The only difference for me is that I have accepted a higher path and, excuse me if I sound a bit concieted, I feel with my knowledge and abilities, I am something more than a human, I am a being apart from them. So, why do you deny that things can be changed from one thing to another? You're outright denying any belief in Abe and his wife, Lady Alexandria. They were mortal, as far as I remember correctly.

And, if this is a misinterpretation of your thoughts, please forgive me, but this is what I've noticed in your posts you seem to focus on the spiritual much more than the physical, even sometimes to the exclusion of the physical altogether.
