You are right arguing doesn't help any thing my dear friend Ninja. You said it better then I have. Some times I speak too much in stead of bringing to a point. Maybe that is because I've had a lot to want to have a more long explaination to my reasoning. But simply put no one should say what is or isn't possible. In stead a good debate on how it could or couldn't happen would be better.

First off I am not a vampire so I am not fighting any Lycans.
I just have been taught and from my experience shape shifting on this physical plane is impossible though I have never seen it occur.

something is not quite clear in what was said here , if lycans are weres, then they can't really be killed , the same as we can't be killed
in fact i understand these fights just for the action and keeping the ballance
i don't quite know how to explain ,one can be killed while not being killed in fact
at least this is what I know

Every thing is able to die. Once must know how to kill the thing that they are fighting. As my saying says at the bottom "We may be vapires but not out of reach of death hands." Being able to kill what ever one is fighting is another story. Lycans, vampire, and any other creature can be destored. One just need the skills and the knowing to do so.
