Someone please explain to me how a Psi-vampire can even be conciderd a vampire at all.
I mean no offence to anyone here.

They are compared to vampires because they drain vital essence A.K.A. "energy" from people or from the enviroment. Much like a vampire needs to drain a person of the vital energy found in blood.

The word vampire has many definitions in the dictionary, the first being "a suppossed blood sucking monster"
I am sure many sang vampires don't totally agree with the technical definition as being a proper description of themselves either. According to Webster the word vampire can even be an extortionist, or a very flirty woman also known as "vamp". I don't think the word really has one singular meaning. From what I hear, alot of Psi vampires don't like being called vampires at all, they choose to call themselves vampyre instead, as to not be confused with the more negative definitions of the word.

Actually, the first 'vampires' (mythological speaking) fed on 'life'. It was never specified if this was energy or blood. The later translations made it into blood. But on the other hand, the first 'vampires' also completly devoured their prey...

Ewww. lol I think I'll stick to blood and energy.

A vampire in the definitions I've run across state that a vampire is one who feeds off of anothers life force to sustain themselves. Whether that life force is obtained through blood or energy is in my opinion a mute point.
