Aye, the term 'vampire' in my opinion means someone who takes from another, whether through feeding or deception. A prostitute could be termed vampire as she takes money for her body and preys on others to get this need. Lawyers have always been regarded as vampires, lol.
Psychic vampirism was termed such for the fact that psis need to vampirize energy in order to sustain themselves, therefore the name fits. But that's just my opinion on what I've read in the past.

True, but if you become reliant just on blood then when it comes to not having a donor you're screwed, because your energy body has become so used to blood that it grows reliant on it and won't easily accept another form of energy. Life is about balance in all things, and feeding is no exception to this rule. ^_^

Firstly, I appreciate I haven't identified myself as a Psi Vamp - or any other type of vamp - as yet, but after reading the thread, I have to agree with the points made by a few others.
The core definition of a 'Vampire' is such that it is believed to remove from someone something whch sustains them, whether it be blood, life energy, money, food, or something else.
In this instance, as pointed out a Psi-Vampire takes energy rather than blood, and whilst they aren't drinking bolod in what is seen the 'traditional' sense of the word 'vampire' they are usually obtaining the same type of boost to their energy through consent (but rarities of stealing something) from someone else.
Whilst people may not like the term I feel that Psi Vampire or Psi Vampyre is appropriate since you wouldn't call them Psi-Leecehers since they would drink blood

I agree that the definition of a vamp is basicaly someone who needs to feed on outside lifeforces but remember that most vampires have inhanced mental capabilities and a few physical ones humans dont have naturally without training i.e. slightly faster healing or higher forms off empathy.

A psychic vampire is a real vampire as the other types of vampire cause he absorbs your life energy onto his being and he becomes fully vitalize. Those psychic vampires who are fully conscious of their absorption of life energy from their prey know for certain, they are vampire or eaters of life energy since the feel better or well after the intake of life energy. Most conscious psychic vampires often realize, the ill health of their prey after some few day's time of continuous absorption of their life energy.
If you want a practical experience or prove that psychic vampires are real vampires, sent me your picture via my email. Take not of the date you sent me your picture and count 14 days afterward. I will absorb your life energy and before 2 weeks time from the date your picture arrives, you will be having some ill health. Make sure you eat well, and prevent any circumstances of ill health during these 2 weeks.

Ok, the fact is that the difference is only that sangs drink blood and psys absorb energy. But if you look at the definition of blood itself things become a bit more clear. According to western medicine, blood is the liquid that runs throughout the body delivering oxygen and nutrients to the organs, but according to chinese medicine, 'blood is a product of water and grains undergoing energy transformation'. I'm sure every psy here will agree that the lifeforce we feed off of is what the chinese call chi, which is the name the chinese have for life-energy. This means that sangs drink energy in a transitional state, while psys feed off of a fully finished product. I'm not saying that what psys feed off of is better, just that it is the same thing as blood, just without the physical components. And I'm not about to argue with 3,000-4,000 years of chinese medical research.

Dark Lord, I must ask you to desist from doing such a thing. You are purposefully asking others to let you bring harm to them to "prove" the existence of psi vamps. And it wouldn't explain to some at all, simply they might encounter a weakened physical state for a while or they'll suddenly come ill, but this could easily be explained away by simple human illnesses and wouldn't prove much. My suggestion to you is simply to offer your personal knowledge from your experience and if someone personally comes to you and asks you to do this thing to them, then by all means you're both consenting, I won't stop you, but I personally ask that you don't advertise such an abusive sounding way of "proving" our existence. And who says you're proving psychic vampirism; in essence, all you're providing proof of is the fact that a person can drain another person's lifeforce, which anyone can do who has developed the talent.
