I am like 16 years old (i was born in 1992) I live in Romania, city of Oradea, I know the english language very well, and the hungarian too. I know how to use computers and i am very ok with many of the household electronics (mp3 player, tv and other so i am not a farm guy if it counts) I am curently in highschool, i am like in class 9. I am interested if i can get in the army, i know i have to do the training but i want to get in the army at all costs, i dont care what i have to doo but i must get there, i am thinking of making a career from it. I am really interested, can you get in the american army, or i could only get in the NATO,, or in the european union army? Go to www.goarmy.com. You can speak to a recruiter online. I think the biggest thing would be that you would have to go through extensive background searches and would also have to get a US citizenship. I don't think you would need to get the citizenship prior to joining but I may be wrong. I knew of a girl back in 2000 that was from Nigeria and she was working on her US citizenship while she was serving on active duty Army.Also, since you speak a second language, you could potentially earn extra money for knowing a second language.I'd talk to the recruiter online at the Army website.

Yes. The previous answers about only U.S. citizens are wrong. Anybody can join the U.S. armed forces, it even speeds up your citizenship. They do a pretty extensive check and medical/school records. The Army is the most lenient of all too so you probably won't have a problem.

I served in the US Army with people from many countries, to include Cuba, China, Mexico, all Central American countries, ect.If you deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan, they have a citizenship ceremony. They figure if you fight for this country, you deserve to be a citizen. You only have to be a citizen to be an officer in the US Military. I have even served whith a guy that barely spoke any english. Not sure how that one happened. Best of luck.
