Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, and Iceland still have not chosen to join, and there are a number of Eastern European nations awaiting approval. From there, who knows?

If Russia got its act together, became a democratic country, and joined up, then the EU could eventually become more powerful than the US someday.

It will have some very hard economic bridges to cross soon.

Yes, and then it will break itself apart out of jealousy.

You poor guys.Sure, add more members and water down the individual rights of those in unique 'individual right protecting societies'.I feel the same about our 'economic partnerships' moving towards regional governments in the US. We didn't write a constitution to have it just be 'one voice of many in determining rights of member states' in a regional government. Our own government has slipped its rein, however, IMHO, and we now have some work ahead to get it back. Were I you, I absolutely wouldn't give membership to people who would vote for anything to get in, but don't have your traditions of rights and government. In fact, were I you, I'd make the whole thing go back to strict economic partnerships and give individuals and small businesses a seat at the policy table. As it is, regional governments stifle opportunity for individuals and small businesses which can best influence policy at the local level. That isn't good for individuals of any of the countries involved.

That's the plan, my friend. That's what they have in store for you.Of course it won't be called the EU anymore.. not after it merges with the Asian Union, the African Union, and the soon-to-be-launched (as soon as we can figure out how to disarm those pesky Americans, still clinging to their guns and religion) North American Union. It will just be called the Dictatorship of Planet Earth. But don't worry... they won't stop you from moving somewhere else if you so choose.Wake up, world.
