A new Times poll which confirms what some of us have been saying for years. It takes a while for the average Joe to catch up to the obvious.

The miserable failures approval rating is the lowest ever recorded at 23%!!!

His approval rating is higher than the Democratic controlled congress is which has done nothing to relieve the American people of the rising cost of fuel. And I wouldn't invest everything in what a Times poll says. They're not known for being un-baised or in partial. You think the economy is bad now what till Obama gets in. The Democratic congress has already shown they won't extend or make Bush's taxes cuts permanent which means this country is in for the biggest tax increase in history. Eveyone's income tax rate will go up, and a lot of lower income people that rolled off income will have to file again. Oh and the Death tax will be back. To add insult to injury I learned today that the Democratic congress wants to add another 10 cent per gallon gas tax to the cost of fuel. The reason, people are using less gas so the money going to the so-called Hwy fund (which they use to pillage for their ear marks) has gone down so they need to increase cost so they'll have more money for next years ear marks. Just wait till Obaman gets in with a Democratic congress. Someone is going to have to pay all those government programs. That will be anybody that gets a paycheck.

Thank you for that response, i love the fact that everyone thought that the democrats would fix the problem, but instead taxes will be raised.

NP Abe. Yea, they could have at least taken up McCain's idea. Not to say I'm a McCain follwer but they could have at least looked at having a Tax Holiday for the summer on Gas Taxes. But nooo! The Federal Gov't can't do with less money, but it's okay if we do (tax payers). Definaiton for the word "Rich" - anyone that gets a paycheck. I don't think they are feeling our pain.

I look at it either way we are screwed no matter who is put into office, neither of them is in it for the country, but rather their wallet. What we really need is someone who lived life as the average citizen and has experienced our problems, not the person who comes from a rich family and has never had any problems except for not spending enough money at one time.
