Apologies, and sorry if I'm playing devil's advocate etc.. however, I can't go against my eductaion following the evolution of species, the emergence of man and the migration of humans throughout thousands of years of pre-history and history.
However, that doesn't mean I don't believe in faith, and I certainly beleive that we have past lives or progress on after 'death'. Faith is an amazing force which can cause evn the most broken man or woman to survive.
I have never particually followed one religion, I preferred to read on the plethora of choices we have in life by understanding the other religions and faith systems around (I can thank my RE teacher for that view).
Now, Love, a feeling that in the end is believed to conquer everything. For example, Denni Wheatleys 'The Devil Rides Out' it is the mother, whose love for her daughter brings more power to words of light than just a normal believer. But love can cause pain as easily as it can cause joy, yet it's rarely a bad or evil pain - know what I mean?
Ill stop rambling

My belief
This realm came into existence billions of years ago, just as all realms do. This plane chose whom it wanted as its plane Lords and Ladies, and these would come to be known as the Gods and Goddesses. They became one with the plane's energy and created the physics of our universe and the "rules" therein. Life was governed by forces and energy, and eventually life was created in our part of the galaxy through a massive explosion. Whether this naturally occured or one of the plane Lords or Ladies caused it to happen, it did. Our galaxy was created and eventually earth would come to be home to life. Humans evolved and history began. The Gods and Goddess came to these humans and gave them knowledge and sought to teach them, and they created the Titans of old to protect the newly forming realm and the human species that lived in the Milky Way. After humans became self-sustaining, they abandoned them to their free will, sending their Titans away and allowing human history to unfold as they will, every so often interfering only in times of great need; which is where we get those records of the Gods and Goddesses. Temples were erected and worshiping began. And history would unfold as it has. Yet there is one absolute source, what I refer to as the Goddess. The Creator, the Source, the Oneness of all things. God, some call it.
Okay, so yeah, my mind just went on a tangent, sorry. I can literally see all of this in my mind as I wrote it, see the Lords and Ladies, see the Titans. Well, tell me what yall think, but don't be too harsh, lol.

I believe that there to start with was a big gab in the universe called ginnungagab. North of it there was the freezing cold niflheim and south of it the burning hot muspelheim. in the midst a mist started to appear. it became so thick that the great giant/demon Ymer and his cow was created. the cow then liked a saltstone from which a man called bure was created. he had three sons odin vile and ve.
They slayed Ymer and created the everything from his body.
one day they saw some timber and and wrote some runes on the them and a man and a woman was created.
there is a lot more... but this was the basics

Im not sure, but I believe more in the Adam and Eve and the whole creation. And even if you think it was the big bang bum ( however its the correct way to write it) or the monkeys (not trying to be funny I just took the cheap course) or whatever other theory people want to bring for our existance, they all have to admit that there was someone or something the cause. For me, that something is God.
Anyway, our mind are too limited to understand all the misteries of life and thats why we are all interesting, a new question will always emerge.
Excuse the english, I promise I will get better!!

My dear I would not worry about english too much. I've lived for way too long and my spelling sucks. LOL.
I am more like Youripper I actually believe that all reglions have a truth to them. I believe that over many and many of years and stories being keep to only monks or destroied that a few things might of gotten mixed up. Things might of been writen down even if the great god or goddess had not said it. Weather it was for a good perpose or selfish reason. That's just how old books and stories passed down are. What matters is what a person believes in and in that gives them that extra hope to go on. As long as that person doesn't hurt others and says that he or she did it because the religon said so. I think I wrote that right.
Please note that I would never put any one down for what they believe in. How can I I was once a Catholic that became a wiccan. Now hows that for switching LOL.

LOL, Bex, these are thoughts that enter and flee my mind on a regular, daily basis, so don't feel bad. I get thousands of these thoughts everyday and I never can find the answers to them so they flit away into nothingness until later. >_<

I agree that you dont have to say sorry, Bex. You always stick to your belief and I personally respect that. Its your opinion and I find all very interesting. So, dont say sorry for that or any other opinion that you may have.
