A DRUNKEN 15-year-old boy stamped a young woman to death because she was dressed as a Goth, a court heard yesterday.
He was part of a five-strong gang who "savagely and mercilessly" attacked Sophie Lancaster, 20, Preston Crown Court heard. He denies murder.

Ms Lancaster had moments earlier begged the gang to stop beating her boyfriend, Robert Maltby, 21, an art student.

As she cradled her boyfriend's head on her lap, calling for help, the accused and another teen, who has pled guilty to murder, turned on her.

She died nearly two weeks later. Mr Maltby survived but has not made a full recovery. The trial continues.

i understand this all too well... i wear it all, black clothes, eyeliner, black nail polish, the whole thing, and everyday while going to high school and even at work, i would be harrassed, bullied and in severe cases even pulled off on the the football field by the varsity team and beaten. todays world has become so corrupt and vile, if you don't fit societies standards, you shouldn't exist, and that's not the way it should be...

I often hear about these situations. I think it's ++++++ up it still happens. There's a lot missing in this world and respect and acceptance are two of those things.
I live in the Netherlands. On junior high it was terrible, people bullied others because of their earrings. But since I study, I haven't had any trouble. Some people think its weird, but they leave you alone. Most of the times I have great conversations with elder people... Offcourse you hear them scream sometimes, but I never pay attention. I even spoke to a dad about his behaviour. He was holding his young son on his arm while he was calling me names. He was shocked I responded to him and told him he should know better.

people like them sicken me. just because they're themselves and not a 'perfect' doll like everyone else. it used to be "what you are is fine with me" kind of place. now its "be pink and cool or die" what has the world come to...?

Again, I reiterate, I hate humans. They help to build these stereotypes, then they find a reason to judge someone "unfit for society" because of it. They've become too focused on physical appearance that they don't see the spirit anymore, and they worry too much about what society deems "normal" that they automatically assume a mob-like attitude of destroy with chaos rather than understand through peace. I swear, they have their religions and faiths yet they don't even begin to understand what it means to be spiritual. It is all about what and whom they deem "wrong," and they label these people as outcasts from society because the media tells them it is so. It sucks balls and I think there should be one big BUTT**** of a mental awakening given to these *******s. *goes to vent and get some coffee before work*

I somewhat agree. I have no problem with people killing other people if it is war, selfdefense or revenge. But there are no reason to kill somebody for being a goth.
