Xasthur is great in small doses... the same with a danish band called Nortt.

I'm pagan myself and really think black metal nailed it with pagan elements... but it gets boring after a while when you hear "hail Satan/oden" for the 117th time in about two songs.

do you like melodic black?

I like some of it... especially the two first albums with Dimmu Borgir (For Altid and Stormblåst), almost everything with borknagar etc etc etc

I must admit that in my newbie years i loved slipknot (the old)... marilyn manson I never liked, he's a pussy.

European Pwns! but I am getting annoyed of the kids starting their own one-man projects... the most of it sounds of the same :P but is a plague we have to deal with here in these pagan frostbitten and grim scandinavian countries

I like the most of it.... just not dragon force, mudvayne, drowning pool and Xasthur. To me xasthur is to depressing and slow if you want to listen to more then one song :P
I really love mixed genre (death black, blackened death, black n' roll etc) bands like behemoth, macabre and so on.

I guess you are a big fan of black metal, so do you prefer european or american black? (a question that has to be asked)

The only god that I seem to follow is the dollar. It defines what I can and cannot have. It provides security and brings me food, granted if I can perform the ritual of "buying". High-priests of this god demand that I work in the temple so that way I am contributing to the institution as whole. I'm working at accomplishing training so that way I can then accept greater tutelage and move up in the hierarchy.

---- And that folks, is a good analogy for our society, IMHO.
