Weird Dream?
The disaster scenario is quite a normal thing to be on a young person's mind - the world is dangerous and we are born full of hope only to discover the truth around us.We live in a world full of dangers that are harkened at us via television and other media - cannot escape it. Who could ignore something as awful as a tidal wave that inundates people who are powerless to save themselves? What could be more fearsome? It leaves a deep mark on the psyche - the dream machine cranks up to release the accumulated 'junk' in the mind - and a pathway is opened for us to realize the impact such things can have on us and those we care about. As to your mother's presence - she sounds like one whom you either find very close to you, especially so, or someone whom you feel a need to ensure all is well with. Either way, she's the most special person for you to need near you in this moment of disaster - and she likely always will be. There's nothing wrong with that - mothers are usually like that. The others matter - but with seconds to go this bond is the one that is the tightest.Having left her you return when you realize the time is nearly up - and in her presence you witness the oncoming killer - terror now nearly upon you -And that is precisely when startling dreams awaken us - just at the threshold of disaster. That's quite normal - and can help gel the image of the dream in the waking mind. Why? There can be reasons -So yes - the dream likley does mean something. Maybe you do it anyway, but be sure you treat your mother the way you did in that dream - every day. It does not take a tidal wave or any kind of wide-spread disaster to take people away from us in this world. Don't live in dread of that - but if you can help it, never leave a bad taste for others behind you that you might not be able to amend. Relationships don't have to be perfect to do this - we tend to forget that, but mending comes from such things - not that yours is broken (that's not implied by your writing nor meant by my own). Dreams like this help get our priorities straight at times - we are sometimes forced to look more closely at the things that count and care more for those around us. That can be a meaning. And the same goes for our own persons - go about life in a good way - not in fear of disaster but aware that we are given a relatively short time here to make the best of all that we are and come to know. The dream also means you probably have the normal anxieties most of us do - but use the positive message to focus on good and not dwell on the 'what ifs' - they will take care of themselves.I suspect some of this may relate to the meaning, but you will need to decide for yourself in the context that you know best. All the best to you.
