Well, I enjoyed it. It was something different from the usual vampire films released today. How many times can one see the sexual, seductive vampire without getting bored of it? I don't know about all of you, but I am. One thing I find particularly annoying is that some believe that it's always been that way. When I crawled out of my grave, I vomited worms for days, and had to keep out of sight for several weeks because of the grotesque swelling that took place all over my body, and my face. I still looked like a corpse for a short time, until I met a friend of mine who has been around a lot longer than I have. Even Dracula, who is often credited for creating this image of the vampire, was never really described to be anything but repulsive.
I miss the days when vampires were depicted as monsters, primarily because it thickens the line between fiction and reality. A world where we're not as easily suspected to be vampires is a better one, and a safer one for real vampires. At least, that is my opinion.
