.... Yeah, the ending was a bit slow for me as well. I understand the film-maker's idea, but it IMHO, left things on a dull note. I won't spoil it, but it to me sparks a "Yeah, O.K. Whatever." feel. The closing shot was disappointing.

The only god that I seem to follow is the dollar. It defines what I can and cannot have. It provides security and brings me food, granted if I can perform the ritual of "buying". High-priests of this god demand that I work in the temple so that way I am contributing to the institution as whole. I'm working at accomplishing training so that way I can then accept greater tutelage and move up in the hierarchy.
---- And that folks, is a good analogy for our society, IMHO.

Well this movie was based off of the book series, so I think they might do a sequel.

I enjoyed it. Just because it DIDN'T romanticize the vampires in any way, there was no love, no mercy. Just killing. Heh.
