Interview with the Vampire - tell me your opinion
i really like this movie 'Interview with the Vampire'
first because of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise.
Secondly making is great and very close to the heart of the novel it's based on.
what do you think about this movie?

You know, I have yet to see these films. But I agree, remaining as faithful as possible to the book when adapting from that format to the big screen is imperative, particularly when adapting a hugely popular work like Rice's. Perhaps I'll hunt them down and see them soon

Im not a big fan of the movie because I believe that no film can be as good as the book, but its not bad...Its made pretty close to the book but I didnt like the actors cause I cant imagine them as Lestat or Armand....I expect more of them....

I enjoyed it actually. I have read the book and they did stay pretty close to the story, with the exception of a few things, so that pleased me. I remember how everyone acted when they heard Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Antonio Banderas were in it. All the girls I knew wanted to go. All in all I would say it is a favorite of mine. However, you will be hard pressed to catch me saying the same for Queen of the Damned.

Without a dobut.. One of my favorite movies, and Books. However, I don't know which of both is better, I mean, the book has 10.000 details, and Louis feels guilty for the death of his brother, of course in the movie is different, but I still like it. Tom cruise and Brad Pitt aren't my favorite actors, and I.W.T.V Is the only movie I like of both hehehe, and I think that the character of Claudia is the best peformance Kristen has done. But I pefer the vampires and not the actors.

The movie was most enjoyable and quite near to the story in the book.
Even though it was condensed (else it would have gone on for hours lol), and a few facts different from the written story, it still remains one of my favourite movies of all time.
When I first heard Tom Cruise was to play Lestat I had my doubts, but in my opinion he played him well

Yes, she even apologized for her rash comments after seeing the film.

hehehe Yes!!!
I really can't imagine other person doing it (in that film). Cause in hollywood there's 2 Lestat =/ . The One in the "Queen Of The Damned" and The one on Interview With The Vampire. Honestly, I like both Lestat, even knowing that the character is not played the same way in any of the films.

While I prefer Tom Cruise's interpretation, Mister Townsend added something different and unique to his performance. A certain new age devilishness. I can watch Queen of the Damned as long as I don't think of it as part of the Vampire Chronicles. I also enjoy watching Vincent Perez.
