Church in my hometown.
A couple of years back, me and a few friends decided to check out this church that wasn't too far from my buddy's house. We had just finished seeing "Goldmember" in theatres (to give a sense of time to how long this was ago) and we were just chillin' talking about life when my friend Travis tells us about this haunted area. He told us all about his own experiences there, and we decided to check it out, figuring that it would add an interesting spin to the evening.
We walked out the backdoor of his house and we went through a vacant lot. Where I live, we have these thorn bushes that grow wild here, and it was dark, so all of us (or at least just me) were getting pricked and prodded every step of the way, and the ground wasn't exactly even (as it was a piece of natural terrain obviously), so the possibility to fall was pretty good. Anyways, fast-forward about 5-10 minutes or so, and we arrive at the church. I SWEAR I saw a winged demon land on top of the church, and a shadow scurry across the street leading into the cul-de sac where people lived. As we continued our little exploration, I can remember going to the front of the church and looking upwards and I felt an ominous presence. Now, I believe I can sometimes see the unseen and feel the unfelt, and when I was looking at this church, I think I was under the impression that there were about 3-4 hellish spires cloaked in some magickal spell. I didn't see the demon who landed earlier..... damn lucky I didn't because if the entities who were visiting the church, which my friend tells me is pretty much the meeting place and the ritual area for some kind of cult (he heard chanting coming from the basement one night he was there) knew that we were was there (they probably DID, but I'm DAMN lucky that they didn't act on it) it might have been curtains.
Our investigation was cut short when a security car drove up and questioned us on being at the church. We gave the guy a bullshit lie of how we were just showing our friend the place, and he let us off with a warning basically.
We went back to my friends house, and we chilled and watched Spawn until my parents came to get me.
I have not returned to the church at night since. I believe it still is haunted. I think that during the day, God's Light penetrates the darkness, but when nightfalls, the church belongs to The Devil and his minions. I am not a religious character at ALL, but this is what I believe.

Thank you.

The only god that I seem to follow is the dollar. It defines what I can and cannot have. It provides security and brings me food, granted if I can perform the ritual of "buying". High-priests of this god demand that I work in the temple so that way I am contributing to the institution as whole. I'm working at accomplishing training so that way I can then accept greater tutelage and move up in the hierarchy.
---- And that folks, is a good analogy for our society, IMHO.

Sounds like fun. Sorry if that seems a bit odd, but things like that only get me excited rather than scare me off. The scarier it seems, the more interested I'm going to become.

I like that story love, God is not a big fan of mine though. I would have loved to have been there, just to see how scary it was.

You weren't lucky in getting out of there, you were always getting out, but you were lucky if you were not followed by anything, either you or your friends? Were any of you followed? If you don't know you probably weren't, but if you are not very sure, there's a chance you may have been. Did any of you feel or hear or even smell anything strange after that night?
