Shadow Ghosts

Appearance:
Accounts of these shadow ghost often describe them as being black humanoid silhouettes with no discernible mouths, noses, or facial expressions. There are other accounts of them being small, or child-sized, as a dark misty cloud, or a shapeless black masses that can change into a more human like form. Although the eyes are usually not discernible, some accounts describe them as glowing, the most typical color being red. Some people describe an outline of a cloak, and in some cases the outline of a hat.


Details:
Shadow ghosts are usually seen in your peripheral vision. Just as you turn to see what it is, it darts off very quickly and disappears.
Some people describe this movement as though the shadows dance from wall to wall, or as moving around the room "as if they were on a specific track". Very rarely, they are seen standing in the middle of doorways or off the wall. Some people believe that often the shadows in our pictures are not our own, but a shadow ghosts. Others, believe the only way to catch a shadow ghost on film, is through a mirror.

My own personal belief is that a shadow ghost is the same thing as a wraith. I have many personal accounts with a shadow ghost in my life time. I have seen them plenty of times out of the corner of my eye, but I have also seen them just standing there.

I believe that these wraiths, can be for protection. My brother used to pick lock everything. Well he decided he was going to break into a house one day. So he picked the lock, and it had one of those slide locks on the inside. He reached his arm through the crack to try and undo the lock. When he touched the lock, it burnt him. He withdrew his hand almost immediately. As he withdrew his hand, and looked through the crack, there was a shadow ghost standing there waving his finger at him.

Another reason I believe these ghost are our protectors is a story of a friend of mine. When my friend was little, he came out of his room in the middle of the night. He went to the living room where his dad was sleeping in the recliner, and had been watching tv. The tv was just that fuzzy white noise stuff(like on the movie polterguist) and there was a shadow ghost floating over his father. The next day his father died. I believe it was his protective spirit, leaving him. Contrary, to how most believe it was there to take his life. Shadow ghosts, or wraiths, are often thought of as an omen of death.

A shadow ghost I heard is actually collects spirits who have past on and brings them to the other side.

i would see them whenever I was sick.... And have nightmares when I was sick but I remember once seeing one as I walked into my grandmothers room. it was leaning over her, stood up looked at me and faded away. She died later that night in her sleep.

in see these quite fequently out of the corner of my eye, but never just standing there. i see at least 10 to 15 a day....

When I was 8 years of age, I started to wake up regularly during the night. When I opened my eyes, I saw a "black" man sitting at the corner of my bed. He was sitting left or right, but never in the middle where my feet laid. He was a dark silhouette but has some brighter outlines so that I could distinguish a figure. His position was a sad one: He burried is head in his hands as if crying.
He visited me regularly every night, always in the same position. I was so afraid and have hidden me under my cover until the spirit has gone. When I turned on the light, the spirit was also gone.
I was so afraid that I decided to sleep with my parents in their bed. But the dark man was haunting me and followed me there. When I cried: 'The black man is there again! Can't you see the black man?', and my father/mother switched on the light, there was ...... nothing. Nothing to be seen.
The spirit visited me till the age of 12, four years long, every night, and could only be seen by me.

I know that the sighting of a shadow spirit is very seldom. In most cases they don't want to be seen. But I think he probably was looking for some help to get on or further or regulate some wrong doings...for I know that they are in a purgatory state. He was on a search for a spiritual gifted person that could see him and enter into contact with him. As he recognized that I was too young still and too afraid he moved on because I couldn't help.
That's an explanation I have given myself to the hauntings.....but perhaps I'm wrong and someone else have a better idea of signification. Would be please for any helpful details because even to me it was/is strange.

i think ive seen at least two before that i can remember of
ive seen what seemed like a cat twice
and the figure of a boy that i saw from the mirrior while doing my hair in the corner of my eye
it freaked me out though
the last one i saw was that boy and it happend about 2 years ago when i was 13 i think
