I have never cared much about my period, but lately, I have been having severe cramps and mood swings. I take valium when it is that time of month. Have any of you other females experienced this.

omg yes it drive me crazy the cramps make me sick .. so they put me on these to pill and there started to work

I have had this problem. When I was younger I used to lay on the floor and cry because of the cramps. Then after I had my son I got on birth control and that helped with the cramps. Now I am no longer on it, and the cramps are not as bad.

Chemical/hormonal imbalances can cause very severe periods. Might want to go to the doctor and ask them about it.

Now on occasion I have cramps but normally not too bad. What I find now is that I am constantly thirsty during my period...and I also want to feed more.

You know, when I was younger my doctor was wanting to put me on birth control to regulate my periods, but my mother would not let him.

Yeah, I get that sometimes. Hot water bottles help [: And so do short walks and certain exercises. Laying down strait helps too, and don't sit down for long lengths of time because that makes them worse.

Whenever I go to the docs and complain about stomach pains (ones which aren't related to periods or anything like that) , they always say it's cramp. Which is stupid. Because it isn't. My mum went nuts at the doctor when she said "oh.. it's probably just cramps".

Hahaa, omg, this might be a bit off topic, but whenever you go into a shop to buy pads/stuff like that, do you find you always have to buy other stuff so it looks like you didm't just go in for pads? I went into Superdrug today to get some and I ended up buying makeup, chocolate and a stack of magazines b'cos I was too nervous to go up and just buy pads. Eeep, lulz.

I get cramps on my period occasionally. I think they may be caused by stress, considering I only ever get them when I'm in school. What I hate though is that when i'm on my period and I go to the bathroom it takes up alot more toilet paper to clean up. Which really sux.

The worst thing about periods is wanting to isolate yourself for the whole week. My ex-boyfriend used to hate it because I wouldn't let him near me when he was in *that* mood (hahah..) :/ But a good thing about it is the excuse that I can lay in bed all day and eat icecream and read books and write fanfics. Not that I need an excuse. But it helps me justify it. I don't feel quite as lazy.

Sometimes mine are horrible, other times they are just uncomfortable. I've found mine are worse the more stressed out I am.

Well, xoxmelxox, I have read somewhere when it is that thime of the month to drink PLENTY of water. They say that will ease the cramps. I also have plenty of Midol on hand. In case, things get OUT of hand.
