Not necessarily, chaos is a form of energy all to itself, and not necessarily is it destructive. It is the upheaval of energy, taking calm and otherwise undisturbed energy and creating chaos within it. Or maybe I'm completely off base, I don't practice chaos magick so I'm not an adept.

I would apply but Im far to busy to keep up. Chaos magick is basicaly based on what tobias said but I can understand the thought of choas being destructive. Chaos magick is the use of energies being used to disrupt structure or stability. That is why chaos is a sub category in many schools of magick but the application of Chaos magick is a more direct and more powerful way of disruption.

o the chaos
i have just actually started learning about chaos through a friend who highly sugested it. i was wiccan for a good portion of my life and traditionalist denied my way of thinking a friend gave me "principia discordia". it's a pretty good book if your interested. the make-up of chaos magick is simply this: there is no make-up. its mostly philosophy mix mixed with magick. for exampe if i were to cast a spell to conjure the wind and lets say there was a huge windstorm before i conjured the spell. then it was my spell that brought forth the windstorm. magick knows no time. the implications were there they just hadn't occured yet. i know this doesnt make any sense but it's basically letting go of structure. to normal wiccans a spell requires a great deal more than just candles. mostly it asks for a circle. sometimes with chaos magick there is no need for this circle. for we are the circle.

I must disagree with you on the "no-circle" thing. Anytime you do energy work, especially in this time of darkness, you should always use protections. Energy attracts outside attention, whether it be good, evil, or neutral. "If you see them, they see you." This phrase is very true, once you see and notice the metaphysical and spirit, they begin noticing you. Therefore one must always be aware of the danger one is in when performing energy work of any kind.
As for chaos magick, it is simply magick without structure, yes. It is almost considered an anti-structure form of magick. It stretches set patterns and often breaks them, which is why some call nature chaotic.

i do agree with you in sense of protection. allthough i like to believe that our minds are capable of anything. so if i were to go into a spell without conjureing a circle i could simply just imagine my circle within my self. like shield to the psy-vamps. is that not the same thing? it is still a circle but it doesnt require sea salt and an athame.
