My theory on demons is they are truly corrupted souls of any living thing that have refused to release their spritual energy and will by any means try to get energy from anything they can. Emotional stress attract them and so do satanic rituals that use spirtual energy from blood to bind them to locations where they think energy will be available. Most demons reside in what some people called the nether or pergatory until they deside to feed or have their souls released.
