We had all of those categories! Fashion... Early 80's, I was in middle school/high school. Lot's of florescent colors. T shirts that said " Choose Life" That fashion statement came from the group Wham. Leg warmers,jean skirts, jean jackets with images on the back. 80's music...... AWESOME! Check out any 80's station on the web. You'll have to listen for yourself. Music was broken into very different areas. You had you Heavy Metal hair bands like Metalica. You had a lot of music coming from movie sound tracks like "The Breakfast Club" Then there was the very beginning of rap. Groups like Run DMC were big.As far as stereo types were concerned we had the preps: The cheer leaders and jocks, we had the skater: Skateboard freaks with the long bangs.
